First weekend of May started out cold and rainy. But by midafternoon,
the sky cleared, the sun came out and it was beautiful. Today was even better.
Sunny skies and temps in the upper 70’s. Wonderful way to start the month of
May. Saturday evening we had a fun time helping cousins Sue and Frank celebrate
50 years of marriage. Today we walked the trail then enjoyed our Dr. Pepper out
on the deck. Couldn’t have been a better weekend.
With all the rain the plants are thriving. They have only been in their pots for a week and have grown a lot. Rain is forecast for everyday this week.
Decided to pick some lilacs before the rains come tonight.
We also had some old friends visit this weekend. It always amazes me how they arrive around May 3-5 every year.
What a wonderful weekend. Hope your weekend was great, too
Have a good week,
Rose
Sounds like a wonderful weekend, Rose! And isn't it wonderful to see springtime after the long winter! Love the bird shots.
ReplyDeleteSure glad spring has finally got here. Love the warmer weather and the sunshine. Except it sounds like we won't have that much sun this week. But it is warm.
ReplyDeleteBTW, once we got the pond garden built, it's very little trouble. Only a major clean out in the spring and then about 5 pond plants to keep the algae away. Also a recirculating pump keeps the water moving. We built 3 little waterfalls that make such a pretty sound. Unfortunately, little kids are always attracted to the pond and have to be watched continually.
