Summertime. Summer is actually a few weeks away but one
wouldn’t know it by today’s weather. Here in Iowa the high today was 93. That
is 10 to 15 degrees higher than normal. Sure glad the A.C. is working. Hot
weather this early sure makes it hard to keep children safe as they start their
summer break. Not all of us have easy access to a pool. But kids do seem to
like the cold water coming from a sprinkler. A water balloon fight is always a
fun way to cool down. And after cooling down with water play, reading a book
under a shape tree (or indoors with A.C.) is always good. Just remember to
supply plenty of water to drink too. And that goes for our pets, too.
