You Can teach an old dog a new trick

I have had my new Toshiba computer for three weeks today. And you know what? I love it. Even Windows 8. At first Windows 8 was so different that I figured I would hate it forever like I did MS. That one I never did learn to like. I was thrilled when XP replaced it and I upgraded immediately. Then I had Vista on my first laptop and it was so, so. That computer came with a free upgrade to Windows 7 that HP sent me as soon as it was available. I liked Windows 7 and was upset that my new laptop came with Windows 8. But you know what? I really like Windows 8. Once I got the Start menu issue down and downloaded Windows Live Mail, It is, to me, Windows 7 with a bit of a different look. So if you are considering a new computer this new year, don’t be afraid of Windows 8.  I did a lot of searching for answers to issues when I first got this computer so I have some great links I can forward anyone having trouble learning Windows 8 plus a link to Windows Live Mail. After all is said and done, you can teach an old dog a new trick.

Stay Warm,
Rose

  1. I hate every new thing that comes along, but then I know it's good to learn them and eventually they're old and comfortable and easy. :-) LOVE that dog pic! So cute. :-)

  2. Is this your dog? Very cute. I like to stay "in the know" when it comes to technology but within reason. My laptop is 11 months old - windows 7. I will say having a computer is a MUST for me. I can do without a lot but if my computer goes down, I am a unhappy camper.
